Sneaky Pics

The Doctor Who spin-off Torchwood launched this week. Ho-hum. It's okay, but it just reminds me how much I loved Channel 4's Ultraviolet a few years ago. Much more adult, much more subtle, much more involving.

Anyway, the clever people in BBC Wales have come up with a rather nifty marketing idea - leaking footage onto the net via YouTube. Here's a clip linking into episode two:



The funny thing is, by doing this on the sly, the BBC has missed a trick because the more reputable fan forums have banned users from linking to the videos, so reducing the likelihood that anyone will see them without a lot of help. Shame, because the clips are a lot of fun, and more in keeping with the theme of the show than a second bout of mobisodes would have been.
